Other Facts: I read at red lights and write poetry at lunch. My writing is published in anthologies, literary journals, newspapers, and on my blog. I love a good story…on the page, the stage, the screen, or at an open mic.
A Little More: Always the spiritual seeker, I’m deeply nourished by a day of solitude and by poetry…my daily medicine for wholeness.
We might be relatives! My paternal grandmother’s name was Pauline Bowers.

Didn’t know we had so much in common. Wouldn’t mind if some of your accounting skills seeped into me by association. We have some stories to tell each other, I’m sure.

Tonya, I wish him success in finding his mother. I don’t believe anyone in my particular Slater family would be his mother. Thank you for visiting my blog. Warm and best wishes to you both.

Sabra, I’ve always enjoyed your poetry for many reasons. The depth of your perception is only one facet that makes it what it is. You, my friend, are a person who’d never be boring or boorish. And that makes you a great person to know and appreciate. Solitude teaches us about ourselves, and you seem to have learned much.
Blessings to you, Sabra.

Claudsy, your comments warm my heart on this funky Sunday afteroon of remembering other times. Solitude is indeed a great teacher which I mainly embrace, but occasionally carry as heavy. I’m glowing in your blessings and sending my blessing back to you. Thank you, Claudsy.

These meager facts do not do you justice. There are a few people who walk the earth to impart kindness and goodwill. You are such a person. Your poetry is a reflection of your gentle spirit and quiet humor. -Lynn

Sabra,
Continued prayers for your well being. I saw in another post that your maiden name was Slater. I am trying to find a coworker from the 70’s. Her name is Nora Skater. We worked together in Michigan. She moved to Texas, Houston, I believe.
Any relation?

Not that I am aware of, but I only really knew the families of my dad’s siblings. Thanks you for your prayers! Good luck finding your coworker. Great to see you here.
