Branches and Lilies

Everywhere I look

Colorful, summer flowers

I miss bare branches

————————————————–

Another haiku written for the 2021 postcard poetry Fest. I am in a nursing home this year and don’t see the summer flowers…sad about my loss of many things. So glad a friend visited me in the hospital and brought me a lovely vase of summer flowers. Grateful! The Tiger Lily is a photo I took last year in my front yard. The deer and I loved those Tiger Lilies.

I am so happy you had that treat of real flowers to stir your memory of so many beautiful flowers that have visited you in the past.
